Wings of Faith representatives and members of the Christian Family Center in Corona, CA, (led by Pastor Julio Romano) converged on the monthly food and clothing bank at the La Jolla Tribal Headquarters on Monday, May 27. They met Susan Curo, the leader of the Tribes4Christ, and some other members of the tribe. Wings of Faith provided about 1200 lbs of food, shoes, clothing, Bibles and books for the members, especially the children.
The La Jolla Tribe is small and Tribes4Christ is one of their few contacts with our Lord. The needs are many, since the tribe continually has avoided the problems and challenges of the “Casinos”. Wings of Faith has been supporting the La Jolla Tribe for two years and has been able through the generosity of many to provide Bibles, books, items of clothing, shoes and non perishable food.
Last year WOF was able to assist in a home remodel which led to a special needs baby being able to have a special place to live.
With your help we hope to continue this ministry and further assist Susan and Tribes4Christ. The Christian Family Center from Corona is interested in continuing this relationship and forwarding the cause for Christ through this important “feet on the ground” outreach.
