Meet Bruce Nelson, WOF Pilot

Bruce is the owner and pilot of a Cessna 180, known world wide for its great service, backcountry agility and hauling capabilities. Bruce can put it into some small and rugged spaces and does so for WOF on a regular basis. Bruce is also a full time employee with the FAA and works rotating shifts which affords him a little more time to work for WOF.  Bruce is married, lives in Torrance and flies out of the Torrance airport.

Bishop Meetings Draw Hundreds Over 3 Days

Over the long weekend, Sept. 7-9, hundreds gathered at the Church in Bishop led by Stan Summers. Many of our missionaries and leaders spoke, including Kenny Franks, Christian Lent and Stan Summers, leading many in worship and focus on God's leading in their lives. Several services each day and great food drew many to hear strong preaching of the Word and worship with great music inspired many. WOF was instrumental in building this church and equipping it with furniture.

Ministry Highlight/Naomi House

Children Enjoy Physical, Emotional and Spiritual Support

One of the long term locations and ministries served by WOF is the NAOMI House in Joseph City, AZ. (see thenaomihouse.org)

Linda Thompson was the visionary to begin serve the abandoned, abused and lost children of several Tribes out of a piece of land right off the I-40 east of Winslow, AZ.

Now at any one time, Linda has up to forty children on site, all with special needs and challenges. They are now safe to recover and grow from whatever issues they escaped, but have many needs. See more information and how you can help them through Wings of Faith at http://thenaomihouse.org

Obey Clothing Comes Through Again for WOF

Obey Clothing donated an amazing 3,000 plus backpacks to WOF on Sept. 11, 2013. These will be used for some additional schools on the Navajo Reservation in New Mexico and the homeless ministry of White River Arizona at the Hope Center. We will have lots left over to serve the children on the Reservations with new backpacks for the 2014 school year! Praise God and thanks Obey!

Christmas Airlift is in Prep Mode

The warehouse crew is in full work mode, having all ready packed hundreds of small gifts, all including a brief description of the meaning of Christmas and a Gospel of John. We also distribute winter clothing, such as the jacket above. Most of our locations on the Reservations get four real seasons and warm clothes are a must. We need card games, board games like checkers, chess and monopoly.  See how to help out http://flywithwings.org/christmas-airlift.php
