Bullet Damage to N3822D

Do strange events in recent headlines mean something is up spiritually, or simply the sign of the times or mere coincidence? We had a close encounter of that kind recently at our California home base at Corona airport, wherein vandals shot into the hangar and damaged a Cessna 182 owned by Wings of Faith , our faithful N3822D. Jim and Debbie Yost were getting ready for an unrelated trip early Saturday morning on September 14, when his wife noticed a dent in the fuselage of the plane. Richard Robles and Jim Yost tracked down the bullet along with an Officer from Corona P.D. on the following Monday.

Vandals had shot through our sign on the hangar door and into a storage box in rear of the hangar, grazing the plane in two places. A week earlier, another owner at Corona airport discovered a bullet hole on the wing of his Cessna 172 while preparing for a morning flight.

Thankfully, there were no injuries in either case but being grounded for repairs and a missed flight to missions can be burdensome.

We at Wings of Faith cherish your prayers and request that you please hold our pilots up in prayer for God’s divine protection on them, the airplanes and precious cargo to the missionary families we support.

May the Lord continually strengthen and bless you!!

Isaiah 54:17

17 No weapon formed against you shall prosper,
And every tongue which rises against you in judgment
You shall condemn.
This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord,
And their righteousness is from Me,”
Says the Lord.

Update!

The Cessna 182 N3822D is fixed now and ready to make deliveries. Praise God!
