Located in Northern Arizona on a two million acre tract of land northeast of Winslow, AZ live the poverty-stricken Navajo people. All but forgotten by local, state and federal agencies, they are in desperate need of our help. WATER, the life line of their existence, is scarce; the well water they are forced to use is either contaminated or must be hauled from areas hours from their homes. The cancer rate is alarmingly high, presumably because of the high levels of contamination in the water.

Historical research indicates that, over the past 100 years, mining proliferated much of the two million acres. Today, preliminary testing of the ground and well water indicate that there may have been indiscriminate mining operations which could be the root cause of the contamination. We need your support to provide clean, safe, water for the people of this harsh land.
