The Wings of Faith annual Christmas Airlift was started in December of 1975. There were but two Airplanes (Stinson 108-3 and a Cessna 182). The Airlift served a single missionary in San Quentin, Mexico. Approximately one hundred toys were delivered. Over the years, the Airlift has grown. In 2008, sixteen trips were made, delivering thousands of toys to 10 Native American Indian Nations. In 2002, Dale was at a monthly meeting of the Corona Pilots Association and asked if any of the Pilots would like to take part in a Christmas Airlift. Six airplanes, full of children’s toys made two trips each to Yuma, one in November and one just before Christmas. The Airlift has become a Wings of Faith annual event and it is much anticipated each year by pilots & recipients alike.
